Description:
Do you want to improve your organization’s ability to reach diverse populations and develop more enticing, culturally appropriate promotional materials and strategies to increase library usage?
Diverse populations not only include race and ethnicity but also gender, sexual orientation, physical abilities, and age. Learn to develop a model with culturally-based promotional strategies; and monitor and evaluate these strategies to create long-term credibility in the community you serve.
This workshop is broken in four sections to include individual and group exercises, brain-storming and creative sessions, tips for outreach and the completion of a mini-promotional campaign.
Section 1 – Why Social Marketing?
Section 2 – General and Specific Promotional Strategies
Section 3 – The 3-As: Awareness, Acceptance, and Action
Section 4 – Developing a Promotional Campaign Based on Social Marketing Strategies
